Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
1. Who we are
StoxHub is operated by [Insert legal entity name — e.g. StoxHub Pty Ltd] (“StoxHub”, “we”, “us”). Contact: legal@stoxhub.com. References to “you” in these Terms mean the person or entity using the site.
2. What StoxHub is — and isn't
StoxHub is an educational and informational research tool that helps users explore publicly traded companies through screening, plain-English company briefs, and thematic exploration tools. Significant portions of the site are produced by large language models.
StoxHub is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, financial planner, or financial product issuer in any jurisdiction. Nothing on the site is investment, financial, legal, accounting, or tax advice, an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security, or a personal recommendation. See our full disclaimer — it is incorporated into these Terms by reference and you accept it when you accept these Terms.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract under applicable law. By accepting these Terms you represent that you meet these requirements.
The site is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, residents of jurisdictions where its content would constitute a regulated financial promotion, regulated investment advice, or any other regulated activity for which we are not authorised. See Section 14 for jurisdiction-specific notices.
4. Your account
Some features require a free account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, violate applicable law, attempt to circumvent rate limits or paywalls, scrape or systematically extract content, or pose a risk to other users or our infrastructure.
5. Subscriptions, billing, and renewal
StoxHub offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers (currently Pro and Max). All prices are shown on the pricing page and are charged in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise stated. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number.
Auto-renewal. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically each month at the then-current price until cancelled. You can cancel any time from Account · Billing or directly in the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep paid access until the end of the current billing period.
Refunds. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Consumers in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom retain their statutory cooling-off rights under the Consumer Rights Directive / Consumer Contracts Regulations; by starting to use the service before the cooling-off period ends you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully supplied.
Quotas. Each paid tier includes a fixed number of custom thesis requests per billing period (60 for Pro, 150 for Max at the time of writing). Unused requests do not roll over. We may adjust these quotas with reasonable notice.
Price changes. We may change subscription pricing. Changes apply at your next renewal and we will notify you by email before they take effect.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, crawl, mirror, or systematically download content;
- resell, redistribute, sublicense, or use StoxHub output to train, fine-tune, or evaluate machine-learning models without our prior written consent;
- attempt to reverse-engineer paywalls, bypass rate limits, or harvest other users' data;
- impersonate any person, present StoxHub output as your own authored research, or use it in any document where you hold yourself out as a financial adviser, broker, or fiduciary;
- use the site for any unlawful purpose, including market manipulation, insider trading, or in connection with financial promotions to third parties;
- interfere with or disrupt the site, its security, or its availability.
7. AI-generated content
Many features on StoxHub — including company briefs, thematic association lists, exposure and confidence labels, news summaries, and similar outputs — are generated by large language models. AI output can be incomplete, out of date, biased, or simply wrong. Numbers may be hallucinated. Confidence and exposure tags reflect the model’s reading of public sources only and are not forecasts of future stock performance.
You are responsible for verifying any AI-generated claim against primary sources (SEC filings, audited financial statements, the company’s own disclosures) before relying on it. Do not treat model output as advice.
8. Market data
Quotes, financials, news, and other market data are provided by third-party sources. Data may be delayed, inaccurate, or incomplete. We make no representation as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data shown. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
9. Intellectual property
The StoxHub site, brand, code, design, and original content (including the structured layout of generated briefs and the screener scoring methodology) are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to access and use the site for your own non-commercial research while these Terms remain in effect.
Underlying data licensed from third parties (Finnhub, exchange providers, news providers, and others) is subject to those providers’ own terms, which flow through to you.
10. Conflicts of interest
The operators, employees, and contributors of StoxHub may from time to time hold long or short positions in securities mentioned on the site. We do not make per-content position disclosures unless explicitly stated. We do not accept payment, equity, or any other consideration in exchange for inclusion in, or favourable treatment within, any list, brief, ranking, or generated output. If this ever changes we will say so prominently.
11. No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. To the extent that any non-excludable consumer warranty applies under your local law (for example, Australian Consumer Law, the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act, or the UK Consumer Rights Act), nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit it.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoxHub, its operators, directors, employees, and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or investment capital, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the site or any content on it. Our total aggregate liability to you in any twelve-month period is capped at the greater of (a) the subscription fees you paid us in that period and (b) USD 100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold StoxHub harmless from any claim, loss, or demand (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the site, or any investment decision you make. This does not apply where prohibited by law, including consumer-protection statutes.

18. Miscellaneous
